One of the basic functions people want in their site is the ability to place photos in their content. This tutorial covers the basics of doing just that.
First, you have to upload the images that you want to include in your site. Navigate to the folder you want to put them in (I recommend using an IMAGES folder to keep pages and images seperate) and use the "New" button to add a new Silva Image.
It will take you to an interface screen where you can upload a new image.

Click "Browse" to select the file that you want to upload from your computer. Then fill in the "Title" field. The information in that field will be used as the "Alt" information for your image in any documents it gets used in.
Click "Save" when you are done. Repeat for each image you want to use in your docuement.
Once you have uploaded all the images you want to use in the document you're working on, go back to that document and begin adding references. You do this by clicking the "Get Image Reference..." button on the right of the editing interface. It will open a new window that looks like this:
Just select the image that you want to reference in your page by clicking on the radio button to its left and click "Place Reference..."
That will place your image in the document. You can resize your image by clicking on it and dragging the handles in the corner or on the sides if you need to.
